Terms of use
Version 2026-10
Draft for legal review. This text is a plain-language draft and has not yet been approved by a lawyer.
These terms are short on purpose. They apply when you create a workspace or use Masar.
The service
Masar lets an employer see the working-hours positions and day summaries of workers who have linked the worker app to their workspace.
Accounts and workspaces
A workspace is created by an admin and approved before it goes live. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
What employers must do
If you are an employer you agree to the following.
- Tell your workers what is tracked, when and why, before tracking starts.
- Use the service lawfully and in proportion to a real business need.
- Never track anyone covertly. Only workers who have linked the app themselves are tracked.
- Keep schedules accurate so that tracking stays inside working hours.
- Respect a worker's request to leave and delete their data.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service. In particular, do not do the following.
- Use it to follow someone outside their working hours or without their knowledge.
- Try to access another workspace's data or to break or overload the service.
- Share the contents of the service in a way that harms workers, for example publishing their positions.
Worker data and privacy
How worker data is handled is described in the privacy policy. By using the service you confirm that you have read it. Employers act as the controller of their workers' data.
Pilot service
The service is currently offered as a pilot. It is provided as is and as available, without a promise that it will always work or stay free of errors. Features and limits can change.
Suspension
We can suspend a workspace that breaks these terms or puts workers or the service at risk. While a workspace is suspended its devices cannot upload data.
Ending the service
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your workspace. We can end the pilot or a workspace with reasonable notice where possible.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters we say so in the service. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
